About the Author
Gary Inrig is a graduate of the University of British Columbia and Dallas Theological Seminary. Dr. Inrig is pastor of Trinity Evangelical Free Church in Redlands, California, and has written several books, including "True North", "Whole Marriages in a Broken World", "Forgiveness", and "Pure Desire".
Max Anders (Th.M. Dallas Theological Seminary, D.Min Western Seminary) is the author of over 20 books and the creator and general editor of the32 volume "Holman Bible Commentary". Dr. Anders has taught on the college and seminary level, is one of the original team members with Walk Thru the Bible Ministries, and has pastored for over 20 years. He is the founder and president of 7 Marks, Inc., a ministry specializing insupport for local churches (www.7marks.org).

GOOD STUDY OF THESE MOST INTERESTING BOOKS

This is a very good study of 1-2 Kings. The volumes in this series are briefer than
many, but in this one there is plenty of information without the work being too
detailed. Also the author of this book isn't unwilling to deal with disputed issues
like Elijah & the ravens. I especially like the sections called DEEPER DISCOVERIES
where additional info can be had.
Some works in the Holman series are way TOO brief for the books they cover
(Genesis/Psalms etc), but this one is a very good buy. I don't agree with EVERY
single conclusion, but this one is good for anyone wanting a brief basic study of
the Kings.

Great Resource

These commentaries are great for Bible study. History, explanations, applications, and much more help the reader understand the scripture that is being studied in a deeper sense and context. I would reccommend any of these commentaries to anyone!
